Since we didn't get to our annual Christmas song this year I thought I'd fill you in on a few things I would have highlighted in it. This year has markedly been one filled with answered prayer, hopes fulfilled, and new dreams birthed - a very good year indeed!
After much prayer, time, and money invested over the past few years, I finally landed a job in May that fits like a glove (at least for this season) where I am able to contribute not only my skills but my creative passions as well. It has been a huge blessing to feel like I'm in my sweet spot.
Love getting to work with this awesome team every day! :D

In June I traveled to Germany and was able to witness God at work in an environment different from what I'm used to. I also experienced new friendships that transcend language and culture because of a commonality in Christ - that was also a blessing.

Nick and I were able to travel to see both sides of our family several times this year which is something not to be taken for granted - yes, a sweet blessing as well.

In October I was hit with some unexpected news rocked my world - or if I'm honest, pretty much leveled it. Since then there are days when it feels like I'm trudging through molasses. Yet this too is a blessing: when you're moving slowly you can't help but notice some things you wouldn't have noticed before and I'm also realizing how weak and needy I am - and experiencing how strong and loving God is.

God is at work diligently rebuilding a foundation that will be stronger and unshakable which does give me a song to sing this year - a song of hope in the darkness, joy birthed from pain, peace even while my world is quaking, and love that conquers fear, thanks be to Christ.
Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
Luke 2:14
Merry Christmas,
